INDUSTRIAL & FACTORY CLEANING
Industrial and factory cleaning, planned around your operation
Production can't stop for the cleaners. Saltire cleans factories, warehouses, depots and industrial units across Glasgow, Lanarkshire and the Central Belt, working between shifts, around deliveries and to your site's own safety rules.
Built on live construction sites, ready for your site
Most of our work is on live construction sites for main contractors such as GRAHAM, Tilbury Douglas and Heron Bros. That means inductions, permits, PPE, RAMS and working safely around plant, vehicles and other people are part of every job. Factory and warehouse managers get the same discipline: a team that follows your rules, respects your exclusion zones and cleans without getting in the way of production.
Industrial premises we clean
Production and manufacturing areas
Sweeping, scrubbing and dust control across production floors, assembly areas, walkways and marked routes, scheduled around running times and agreed with your supervisors.
Warehouses and distribution units
Storage, picking and dispatch areas swept and machine-scrubbed. Aisles and dock areas kept clear of dust and debris, with offices and welfare included in one schedule.
Depots, workshops and yards
Vehicle workshops, stores and yards cleaned to keep them safe and presentable, with pressure washing of yards, ramps and loading bays to remove oil and grime.
Welfare, canteens and changing areas
Staff canteens, break rooms, changing areas and toilet blocks cleaned and sanitised on a schedule that matches your shifts. Replenishment of client-supplied washroom and welfare consumables can be incorporated into our scheduled cleaning visits.
Offices on industrial sites
Receptions, meeting rooms, control rooms and site offices cleaned to the same standard as our office cleaning contracts.
New and refurbished industrial units
Builders cleans, sparkle cleans and final cleans on new-build and refurbished units, so tenants or your own teams move into clean premises from day one.
Recent work
Industrial cleaning in Lanarkshire: recent work
North Lanarkshire Council fleet depot, Bellshill (for Tilbury Douglas). Tilbury Douglas built a new two-storey depot with a workshop, stores, offices and welfare accommodation for servicing the council's vehicle fleet, on a live council site. We carried out the builders and sparkle cleans ahead of handover in early 2024.
Braidhurst Industrial Estate, Motherwell (for Tilbury Douglas). Braidhurst is a regeneration of a 1960s estate into modern, low-carbon units for start-ups and local businesses. We delivered the final clean, cleaned units across the estate as they were completed, and returned for revisits so each unit was ready for its occupier.
Regulated sites
Regulated manufacturing
We provide ongoing contract cleaning on a pharmaceutical manufacturing site, looking after offices, laboratory floors, kitchens, toilets, corridors and welfare areas. Our team works to the client's own procedures, access controls and hygiene standards, with the consistency that regulated sites rely on.
How it works
How we set up an industrial cleaning contract
1. Free site visit.
We walk the site with you, look at the areas, shift patterns, access and any restricted zones.
2. Written scope and schedule.
Frequencies for each area, out-of-hours or between-shift times, and periodic tasks such as high-level dusting or deep floor scrubs.
3. Paperwork first.
Site-specific RAMS, COSHH data sheets and insurance certificates before we start, plus your site induction for every operative.
4. Mobilise and supervise.
A consistent team, supervised and inspected against the agreed scope.
5. Review.
Regular contact with your site or facilities manager so the schedule changes when your operation does.

Questions
Industrial and factory cleaning FAQs
Can you clean around our shifts?
Yes. We clean between shifts, overnight, at weekends or during planned shutdowns, at times agreed with your site team so production and deliveries carry on as normal.
Will your team follow our site rules?
Yes. Every operative completes your induction and follows your safety rules, permits, PPE and hygiene requirements. Site-specific RAMS and COSHH data sheets are provided before work starts.
Do you clean new industrial units before occupation?
Yes. We carry out builders, sparkle and final cleans on new and refurbished units, as we did for Tilbury Douglas at Braidhurst Industrial Estate in Motherwell and at the new council fleet depot in Bellshill.
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Hamilton and cover Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Edinburgh, the Lothians and the wider Central Belt. Larger industrial sites elsewhere in Scotland can be arranged.
